A Home Wedding.

Mr. G. W. Young and Miss Lucy Heyward Happily Married.

The marriage of Mr. G. W. Young to Miss Lucy Heyward occurred at the residence of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Heyward, last evening, April 28th, at 9:30 o’clock. It was a beautiful wedding, though very quiet, as only the families and a few friends of the bride and groom were present.

The drawing room where the ceremony was performed, and the dining room, in which elegant refreshments were served, were beautifully and artistically decorated. The wedding march was skillfully rendered by Miss Julia Hall.

Rev. George E. benedict, of Cedartown, performed the ceremony according to the ritual of the Episcopal church.

The bride was queenly in a handsome gown of white brocaded silk, en train, with trimmings of rare old family lace, over which fell in graceful folds, her long bridal veil.

Miss Heyward is the eldest daughter of Mr. J. B. Heywood, one of Cartersville’s most honored citizens, and since her debut in society, has been one of its most admired and beloved members, while Mr. Young is well known as one of the most prominent and popular young men of the town; and to him and his fair bride, the best wishes of a host of friends are extended.

A brilliant reception will be given Mr. and Mrs. Young this evening at the residence of Mrs. S. P. Young, to which a large number of invitations have been issued.
