A Christmas Marriage.

At the residence of Mr. N. S. Eaves, on Christmas evening, Miss Grace Thomas and Mr. Harry Venable, were united in marriage. The ceremony was performed by Rev. J. S. Hillhouse, pastor of the Presbyterian church.

At the residence, where the ceremony was performed, a goodly number of friends and relatives of the bride and groom had gathered. The parlor was tastefully decorated for this occasion, and no where did seem the cheer and happiness of the joyous Christmas tide more marked than on this auspicious event. The bride, who is a pronounced brunette, looked lovely in a handsome gown of white, and was the object of much admiration. The words that made the happy twain one were soon pronounced, after which congratulations and good wishes for their future happiness were showered upon them.

The bride is a young lady, pleasant in manners and attractive in appearance and she has a large number of warm friends and admirers, who wish her much joy and happiness. The groom is a young man of many excellent qualities. He is a railroader, being an employee of the East and West railroad, and he also has a number of friends here.
