Nuptials. Married at the residence of the brides mother, on Thursday evening, Feb. 27th, Mr. JAMES C. TUMLIN to Miss LIDIE FIELD. Only a few friends were invited. The attendants were Mr. Harry Erwin and Miss Carrie Field; Mr. Ham Harris and Miss Lillie Johnson. Both bride and groom have been long and favorably known to our community, and it is with a feeling of regret that our social circle gives them up. It is needless to say that we wish them well. Congratulations are so common that they mean nothing, and yet we must say that a lovely woman has mated a noble-hearted man; and if that loving kindness which has been showered so richly upon all with whom they came in contact is any prophecy of their future, we not only wish, but also predict for the, a happiness deep as the blue of heaven, a life beautiful as the sunset glory of a summer’s eve. |
