Mr. J. A. Slatton and Miss Minnie Flemmings were married at the residence of Mr. Jim Adams October 27th. Jack is a popular conductor on the W. & A. He has a host of friends, who if they had hold of the bell cord they would all be ringing in one accord for the well wishes and prosperity for Mr. and Mrs. Slatton. He was so unfortunate as to get hurt on the road an injury that confined him to his bed on the day he was to have been married. Though little disfigured, he was still in the ring. So with a store of pluck, fidelity and true devotion, the plans of the contracting parties were consummated on the day appointed.
