A Happy Marriage. There was a happy marriage in Chattanooga Sunday evening, in which one of Cartersville’s popular young men acted the part of the groom. Mr. J. S. Shelton and Miss Winnie Markham were the contracting parties, and Rev. W. H. Cooper, of Dalton, performed the ceremony. They left on the first train for Cartersville, which will be their home in the future. The bride is a young lady whose beauty and sweet graces have won many friends, while the groom is one of the city’s sterling young business men. He is the clever and efficient manager of Mr. W. F. Baker’s jewelry establishment. The Courant-American extends the hand of congratulation with a hearty wish for long life and abundant prosperity. |
