Marriage

At the residence of the bride’s mother, near this city, on Wednesday, the 10 inst., Miss Mattie Wofford was married to Mr. M. T. Sharp, of Gadsden, Ala.  The ceremony was performed in the presence of quite a number of relatives and friends by Rev. W. H. Patterson, pastor of the Baptist church of this city.  The couple left immediately after the ceremony for their future home at Attalla, Ala.  The bride is a daughter of the late Eliphas Wofford and is a splendid young lady and very popular among all who know her.  The groom is a prosperous young farmer of his section and bears a splendid name for uprightness, thrift and gentlemanly qualities.
