Married, at the residence of the editor of the Free Press on Sunday evening last, at 7 ˝ o’clock, by Rev. John Anderson, Mr. R. P. Saunders to Mrs. Louisa Menefee.

As no notice was given in regard to this marriage, it was a surprise even to immediate neighbors and relatives. The groom has been an employee in this office for four or five months, and we have always found him to be a number one workman and a clever gentleman. The bride is a sister of Mrs. Sheriff A. M. Franklin, and is an estimable lady. To the happy couple we waft our very best wishes, and when their little bark, starting out so favorably upon the troubled sea of life, has been well laden with this world’s happiness and pleasures, may it safely glide into the haven of rest, leaving no evidences of having struggled with tempestuous billows.
