Rowland – Winter. On Thursday last, at Augusta, Ga., Mr. Charles K. Rowland was married to Miss Lucy Winter, one of the most charming and cultivated ladies of that beautiful city, which is famed the country over for the loveliness and brilliancy of her women. The groom is a dashing descendant of the old Bartow county family of Rowlands, and is well known in Atlanta and Augusta. He was accompanied from the capital, where he made his home, by his mother and Gen. P. M. B. Young, and several popular and favorite gentlemen of Atlanta. The bride is the third daughter of a family famous for beauty, wit and exquisite charms of mind and person. She is a recognized belle in the south, and one of the most brilliant and bewitching of all the fair maidens for whom Augusta is famous. Our Augusta exchanges pronounced the occasion one of the most brilliant ever witnessed in Georgia. |
