“ Kingston.”

Your reporter returned home Sunday evening from attending the marriage of his cousin, Miss Sadie Myers at Wartrace, Tenn., to Mr. Will Rowland, of Athens, GA. The marriage was at the Presbyterian Church in Wartrace, Tenn., a 8 p. m., the 13 th ultimo, rev. Dr. Chaney, the pastor, officiating. The happy pair left at 11 p. m., for New York. It was a very happy marriage and I spent the balance of the week visiting relatives (and the number is legion) at Wartrace, Shelbyville, Normanly and on Duck River. I was delighted with my visit and came home greatly improved in health and spirits; and arriving at home a communication was in waiting with a pressing invitation from my native home at Ashville, N. C., to attend the annual encampment of confederate veterans of western North Carolina, to be held in Ashville, August 29 th and 31 st, with a peremptory command “you must come.”
