Nuptials at Cement.

A real old fashioned country wedding took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. H. Waring, at Cement, Tuesday, 2nd inst. The friends and relatives began to arrive the evening previous. These, together with those which each arriving train on Tuesday brought in, soon swelled the attendance to over an hundred guests. The morning was spent by the guests gathering in sympathetic groups here, there and everywhere.

At one o’clock p. m. the ceremony was performed, Rev. H. K. Reese officiating.

After the ceremony the entire party were invited to partake of the wedding breakfast which was an elaborate affair, the tables literally groaning with edibles, etc. of every kind. After the breakfast dancing was engaged in until it was time to prepare for the south bound train. The bridal party took the train for Decatur, Ga., the future home of the newly wedded couple.

The bride is the eldest daughter of Mr. Geo. H. Waring, and the groom a prosperous young business man of Atlanta.

The most magnificent marriage that has occurred in years in this locality was consummated today at Cement, at the residence of the bride’s father, Capt. G. H. Waring. The contracting parties were Mr. J. R. Robson, of Decatur, Ga., and Miss Jean Waring, Rev. H. K. Rees officiating. The presents were numerous and fine. The express agent informed us that there were more than fifty packages. The reception was from 12 to 3:30 p. m., when the happy pair, with a host of friends, boarded the south bound train for the future home of the happy pair. We extend our congratulations and wish for them a long and happy life.
