Miss Lucy Carpenter, of Tunnell, Ga., and Mr. D. R. Orr, of Acworth will be married at the residence of Mrs. Florence C. Harris, in this city, next Tuesday evening at eight o’clock.

Quiet Home Wedding.

At the residence of Mrs. Florence C. Harris, on Tuesday evening, Mr. D. W. Orr, of Acworth, and Miss Lucy Carpenter, of Tunnell Hill, were joined in the holy bonds of wedlock.  Rev. W. J. McMillam, of Brownwood, Texas, who is a nephew of the groom, performing the ceremony.  Quite a large number of relatives and friends were present, and Mr. and Mrs. Orr were heartily congratulated upon their union.

Miss Carpenter was formerly a resident of Cartersville and has a host of friends here.

Mr. Orr is a prosperous farmer, and resides near Acworth.  He is an elder in the Presbyterian church and a prominent citizen of his county.

Mr. and Mrs. Orr left on the morning train yesterday for their home at Acworth.
