A pretty wedding last week was that of Miss Allie Ward to Mr. William D. Haney at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Ward Wednesday afternoon.  The colors of white and green predominated in the decorations.  The bridal party stood under a large white bell suspended by garlands of English ivy.  The bride wore a white satin gown and was attended by Miss Julia Veach who wore a pink dress.  Mr. Richard Combs acted as best man.  Misses Susie Ward and Beatrice Cowan were ribbon bearers.  Rev. A. J. Morgan performed the ceremony.  Misses Veda Haney and Lillian Bradley furnished the nuptial music.  There was an informal reception after the marriage.  Misses Elizabeth Scott and Hypatia Boudoin presided over the punch bowl.  Many beautiful gifts were received.  The young couple left at five o’clock for a short trip.  Relatives and friends from Calhoun, Acworth and Cartersville were in town for the occasion.
