Linwood.

Our little town was under a state of much excitement on last Sunday, when a couple got off the north bound passenger train and proceeded to the residence  of Rev. John W. Edwards, to be united in the holy bonds of matrimony.  The contracting parties were Mr. W. A. Gunn, of Plainville, and Miss Ruby Lewis, of Adairsville.  The wedding was to have taken place in Adairsville, but to evade a large crowd they boarded the southbound train for Cartersville and returned on the northbound train for this place.  There was an old minister of Adairsville very much disappointed as he was of course expecting a remuneration for performing the ceremony.  But strange things will happen and wonders will never cease.
