“Doings in Bartow—Ford.”

One of the happiest affairs that ever occurred in this community transpired on the evening of March 31st, at the home of Mrs. Mary Harling. After the matrimonial rights were administered by Rev. T. A. Owens, between Mr. Thomas Gemes and Miss Jessie Harling it was observed that two more newly married couples were present and as the hands of congratulations were extended those in attendance said the whole place became effused with pleasant smile caused by the meeting of the happy trio. After the usual proceedings were gone through with a cordial invitation was extended to repair to the dining room, where we found a table loaded down with good things that made us happy for the time being but not near so happy as those who had just been pronounced man and wife. May the blessings of heaven attend them all along through life is the wishes of the many friends.
