Miss LUCY BACON, sister of Mrs. J. A. Baker, of this city, was married Tuesday afternoon in Atlanta, to Mr. THOMAS FULTON, of McDuffie county. As the bride has a number of friends in Cartersville we copy the following from the Constitution: “The ceremony was impressively performed by Rev. M. B. Hardin, of LaGrange, in the presence of the relatives and friends of the contracting parties. The lovely and accomplished bride comes of a distinguished family. Her father was the lamented Col. Thomas J. Bacon, of LaGrange, who fell at the battle of Seven Pines; and she is the first cousin of the Hon. A. O. Bacon, speaker of the House of Representatives. Atlanta society will sadly miss her graceful presence and brilliant gifts. Mr. Thomas Fulton is a successful young planter of McDuffie county. |
