Back From Texas.
Mr. Colquitt Finley Returning to Cartersville With His Bride to Locate Permanently.

Mr. Colquitt Findley, who went to Velasco, Texas, some months ago. To locate, has returned to Cartersville, which he make his permanent home.  He will resume his practice of law in the city.  Mr. Finley will be joined soon by his bride, which he won while away.  The people of Cartersville who know Mr. Finley well, will welcome him and his fair companion.  Of Mr. Finley’s marriage and departure from Texas the Velasco World says:

“At the residence of the bride’s broth-in-law, Mr. Felix Jackson, general manager of the Houston and Brazos Valley railroad, Rev. A. Methvin, of the Methodist church officiating, Mr. Colquitt Finley and Mrs. Cora Walton were united in the holy bonds of wedlock Wednesday night at 8 o’clock.

“This wedding came as a great surprise to the people of Velasco.  Mr. Finley came here some time since from Cartersville, Georgia, to take the management of the Velasco State Bank.  He had decided to return home and having met Mrs. Walton since his advent here, found the prize he had wished, and they decided to get married at once.  Mrs. Walton resides with her sister, Mrs. Felix Jackson, and is a widow with a little daughter five years old.

“Mr. Findley will go back to his home in Cartersville, Georgia, and make arrangements for a home and the resumption of his practice of the law, and the bride will remain here for a few weeks, until matters are arranged.  They went to Houston yesterday morning.

“They both leave behind a host of friends made here, who wish them all the pleasure and happiness possible.”
