Hymeneal.

Brilliant Wedding in Cartersville.

Married March 26th, 1880, at 11 o’clock, A. M., in Cartersville, Bartow county, Georgia, on the platform of the depot, Mr. C. P. Burgis to Miss Annie Warren, both of the county of Pickens, Georgia.

The groom having made application to George Howard for license, and not answering all the questions properly, Mr. Howard refused to issue the license, whereupon he left the office, but shortly afterwards returned with the father of the blushing maiden, and he consenting, the license were issued, and thence they repaired to the depot where the intended bride was awaiting the return of her future lord. The happy couple were made one by Rev. John Anderson. They departed on the 5 o’clock up bound train, to seek their fortune on western shores. May they be blessed with the fruits of marriage and in after years, may they relate to the young Burgeses the unfortunate event that occurred on their wedding day.
