Charlie Bell, the fireman on the Rogers railroad train, and Miss Effie Honea, of Cass Station, were married Sunday afternoon, May 15th, by Squire Frank Watkins, of Cartersville. It is the same old story of love triumphing over all opposition. The young lady’s parents were not exactly willing that it should be so, while the young folks were determined that it should. It was accordingly planned that Charlie was to drive to the home of his intended Sunday morning last and accompany her to the Primitive Baptist foot-washing at Zion Hill to which everybody was going. This he did and when they returned on Monday morning to Cass Station, it was as Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Bell. Charlie’s friends at Bufford wish he and his bride a bon voyage o’er the sea of life.
