Thomas Wooten, son of F. M. Wooten, while handling a shot gun on the 13th inst., struck the lock against something which caused it to fire and the load went into his forearm and lodged near the elbow. Dr. Lindsay Johnson and Dr. Bradley succeeded in removing the shot, but the poor little sufferer only survived the operation an hour or so. The family are in deep sorrow and have the heartfelt sympathies of every one. |
