Interment At Oak Hill For Miss Annie Wofford

Miss Annie Wofford, beloved resident of Cartersville, was laid to rest Saturday afternoon following funeral services held at three o’clock from Owen Chapel.  Rev. W. M. Twiggs, pastor of the Sam Jones Church officiated.

Interment followed in Oak Hill Cemetery with the following friends serving as pallbearers:  Hugh B. Pettit, Lloyd Decker, J. W. Gilreath, J. H. Wofford, Jr., Paul Gilreath and Miles Gilreath.

Miss Wofford passed away Friday evening in an Atlanta hospital following a very short illness.  Her passing was a shock to her loved ones and to her many friends in Cartersville and throughout Bartow County.

For many years she was active in business circles in Cartersville, making friends among those with whom she was associated.

Her parents were the late James C. and Heneritta Satterfield Wofford, life long residents of Bartow County.

She is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Paul Gilreath, Sr., Mrs. R. J. Donahoo, Miss Nora Wofford, one brother, J. H. Wofford, Sr., three nieces, Mrs. Henry Parris, Mrs. Howard Edwards, Newnan, and Mrs. Kenneth C. Rowley, Atlanta.
