Mrs. Williams Dead.
Widow of Late James Williams – Several Children Survive Her.

Mrs. M. E. Williams died Sunday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. J. Eaves.  Old age was the cause of her death, she being 83 years old and had been in bad health for some time.

Mrs. Williams was the wife of the late Jim Williams, who died several years ago.  She was the mother of Messrs. Tom Williams, of Atlanta; Bob Williams, of Chattanooga, and Mrs. A. J. Eaves, of this city.  She was a member of the Methodist church and was a good and consecrated Christian.

Mrs. Williams lived in Cartersville nearly all of her life, she and her husband having moved to the city before the war.

The funeral took place Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, from the residence of Mrs. A. J. Eaves, and was conducted by Rev. Sam Dean.  The interment took place at Oak Hill cemetery.
