Mrs. Whitehead Dead.

Rockmart, Ga., Sept. 20.—Mrs. Mary J. Whitehead, widow of the late Ellis B. Whitehead, died here recently. She was one of the oldest persons in this section. Her removal takes away another of the ancient landmarks of this county. She, with her family, came here from Virginia over a half a century ago. She leaves a large number of friends and relatives to mourn her departure. As a member of her church she was consistent. She was 50 years within its pales.
