Losing control of his automobile when it struck another machine at Techwood Drive and Alexander Street Sunday afternoon, Gilbert H. Walker, 32, of 72 West Baker Street was fatally injured, dying in Grady Hospital less than an hour after his machine had turned over and smashed against a tree. Throwing himself on the floor of the car when he saw it was going to overturn, Walker’s companion, W.F. Bradley escaped without a cut. J.R.. Cox, of Cartersville, the driver of the other machine that figured in the collision, was not injured. He was given a copy of charges for reckless driving. [The above is from Monday afternoons Journal. A Tribune-News reporter has made diligent inquiry into the matter, but was unable to learn anything about the J.R. Cox who figured in the accident and gave his address as Cartersville.] |
