James Daniel Waddell.
An Interesting Sketch of the Life of one of Georgia’s Brightest Sons.

James Daniel Waddell was born in Abbeville district, South Carolina, 22nd of December 1832, and died at Marietta, Ga., December 15, 1881.

He was the oldest son of Rev. I. W. Waddell, and the grandson of the famous Rev. Moses Waddell, D. D.  He was a hard student in early life and graduated with high honors at the university of Georgia in 1853.  Choosing the profession of law he was admitted to the bar in 1854. [Article continues.]
