Mrs. Vandivere.

She Passes Peacefully Away at Her Home in This City.

Mrs. Margaret Vandivere died at her home in this city on Saturday evening last at 7:15 o’clock. Her death was peaceful and was from heart trouble, of which she had had several previous attacks. Deceased was the wife of Mr. A. G. B. Vandivere. She and her husband had lived together nearly fifty years, had resided in Cartersville for 25 years, having moved here from Dalton. She was 69 years of age. Previous to her marriage she was Miss Crawford. She leaves besides her husband, four children, Mr. S. L. Vandivere, Mrs. Montgomery, and Mrs. John Hill, of this city, and Mr. W. J. Vandivere, of Barnesville.

She had long been a member of the Baptist church and was ever active in church and religious work. She was a faithful devoted wife, a kind mother and a loyal friend. Her life was a shining example of piety and goodness, and she will be greatly missed by her relatives and circle of friends.

The funeral took place from the Baptist church on Sunday evening and Dr. Patterson, who conducted the services, touched feelingly on her beautiful and exemplary life.

The remains were interred at Oak Hill, beside those of several loving children whom she had lived to see sorrowfully laid to rest.

The funeral cortege was one of the largest in some time, evidencing the esteem in which deceased was held.
