A Sad Death

The remains of Mrs. A. D. Vandivere were brought to this city last Saturday and interred beside those of her husband in Oak Hill cemetery. The news of the death of Mrs. Vandivere was a surprise and quite a shock to her friends in this city. She died at the home of Mr. R. H. Garwood. A singular coincidence was that she died on the 4 th of January, the anniversary of the death of her husband, who died two years previous. She was formerly a Miss Lamkin, and was a sister of Mrs. R. H. Garwood.

The funeral services took place from the Baptist church and were conducted by Rev. W. H. Cooper, of Cedartown. A number of relatives from Atlanta accompanied the remains up from that city and attended the funeral.
