OBITUARY.

“Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not, for of such is the Kingdom of Heaven.”

Died, in Cassville on the 26th ult., MARY ADELAIDE, youngest child of Geo. L. and Mary C. UPSHAW, aged 14 months and 9 days.  Gently very gently her pure spirit passed away; an aching void was made, this earth can never fill.  Weep not, mourn not for your child mother, its pure spirit is now singing Psalms of praise around the throne of God.  It can no more dwell with you on earth, but you can go to it.  In evenings twilight, a time when Addie’s glad voice and merry prattle used to gladden your heart, you should now spend in reflections, upon her happy state, and as you can almost hear the angelic notes of her heavenly harp, take new aspirations of desire to meet her around the heavenly throne, and join with her in chanting the praises of God forever.—May this disposition of Providence be an admonition to her parents, that there is a reality in death—that they too must die, as well as Addie; but for her you should no longer weep.

The cherished blossom, by your Father given,
Was called from earth, to live with him in heaven.

A FRIEND.
