John W. Trippe Dead.
Atlanta Young Man Passes Away at Home of His Father In This City.

Mr. John W. Trippe died at the home of his father in this city, Mr. J. K. Trippe, Monday morning at 6:30 o’clock.  His death was due to a pulmonary collapse.  The young man, whose home was in Atlanta, was in an advanced stage of consumption, and came to Cartersville recently to be with his father and brother, Dr. R. J. Trippe.  He was seized with a spell Sunday night and never rallied, despite the best efforts made to bring him around. The physicians think an abscess burst on his lungs.

Mr. Trippe was 37 years of age.  He had for a long time been the head book keeper for J. J. & J. E. Maddox, in Atlanta.  He possessed a genial disposition and readily made friends of all with whom he came in contact.  He was originally a Bartow county boy, being reared at Taylorsville.  He leaves his parents and several brothers and sisters.  The funeral took place yesterday, the remains being interred at Oak Hill.

The services were conducted by the Rev. Mr. Robinson, of Acworth, assisted by the Rev. H. B. Thomas, of this city.  The following gentlemen acted as pallbearers:
Messrs. Levi F. Shaw, J. J. Erwin, D. R. Gaines, W. I. Bennett, Levi W. Reeves and Jim Stanford.
