Mr. Samuel Traventine, one of the oldest and most esteemed citizens of Harris county, died at his residence near Waverly Hall, on Monday night, 20th.  He was eighty years of age, and during his long life was honored with the respect and esteem of his fellow-citizens, as a good man and Christian gentleman.
