Ethel Taylor, 87, of 76 Mt. Pleasant Rd., Fairmount, died Friday night at the Starcrest Nursing Home in Cartersville.

She was born on Feb. 23, 1912 in Calhoun, the daughter of the late Samuel P. and Emma Dyar Gaddis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fain Tate Taylor on June 9, 1981. She was also preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

Taylor was a home maker and a member of the Oak Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Beulah Ann and Robert Max Tanner of Fairmount; six grandchildren, Wanda Cline of Columbus, Walter Tanner of Cartersville, Deborah Cronon of Fairmount; seven great grandchildren; two step grandchildren; four step great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 28 in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery with the Rev. Harris Scoggins officiating.

The family received friends Saturday at 6 p.m.

The Parnick Jennings Funeral Home, 430 Cassville Rd., is in charge of the arrangements.
