Mrs. Tate

Miss Frances Irene Tate, 88, 528 Hunter St., Rockmart, died Sunday, June 16, 2002 in the local nursing facility.

She was born July 8, 1913 in Bartow County and was a homemaker and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clemmons P. and Maggie Owens Dawson Tate; five brothers, Coleman, A. C., Will and Oliver Tate and Stanley Dawson; two sisters, Florence Blankenship and Leon Dodd.

She is survived by a sister-in-law, Mrs. Essie Tate of Rockmart and a larger number of nieces and nephews.

The graveside funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 18 at Macedonia Church Cemetery in Bartow County with Rev. John Hooper officiating.

Pallbearers: T. J. Blankenship, C. L. Tate, Don Tate, Bill Waters, Eric Waters and Norman Worthington.

Freeman Harris Funeral home had charge of arrangements.
