Mr. Wyman Sutton, 74, of 706 Snow Springs Road, NW, Adairsville, died Sunday afternoon, January 3, 1999, at the residence following a lengthy illness.

He was born June 13, 1924 in Bartow County, son of the late Doyle Sutton and Rhoda Green Sutton.  He was retired from Republic Contracting Corporation, where he was a Superintendent.  He was a member of Snow Springs Baptist Church, the American Legion Brock - Pelfrey Post #245, and was a veteran, having served in the Army during World War II in the Pacific.   Survivors include his wife, Opal Cochran Sutton of Adairsville to whom he was married Dec. 14, 1952; three sons, Lendon Sutton of Anderson, SC, Stanley Sutton of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Thomas Sutton of Columbia, SC; one brother, Lionel Sutton of Jacksonville, FL; two sisters, Gladys Peterson of Adairsville and Dorothy Bell of White; five grandsons, one granddaughter, and one great-grandson.  Nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Snow Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Chancey officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  Family members will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the Barton Funeral Home after 5 p.m. on Tuesday.

R. Dudley Barton and Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, has charge of the arrangements.
