Mrs. Stroude, sister of Capt. A. Y. Sheats died on the 10 th at Cookesville, Tenn., and her remains were brought to this place Tuesday for interment. Rev. Mr. Barrett, pastor of the Baptist church, assisted by Rev. J. E. England, pastor of the Methodist church, conducted the funeral services. Mrs. Stroud was well known here, having lived here; only went to Tennessee a few years since. She was highly respected by the citizens of Kingston, and the bereaved ones have the sympathies of the entire community. Mr. Simp, McCrary who married Mrs. Stroud’s daughter accompanied the corpse. Mr. T. R. Sheets, of Atlanta, attended the funeral of his sister.
