Mrs. Strickland Dead.
A Well Known Cartersville Lady Passes Away in Memphis.

News reached her relatives in this city yesterday of the death of Mrs. Mary Strickland, which occurred at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Claude White, in Memphis, Tuesday afternoon at three o’clock.  Her death was very sudden and is supposed to have been from heart trouble.  Mrs. Strickland left here for Memphis several weeks ago and seemed at the time of leaving in good health.

Mrs. Strickland was the mother of Messrs. Ed and Albert Strickland, prominent business men of this city and when not with her daughter in Memphis, made her home with them.  Her husband, Mr. B. A. Strickland, died about seven years ago, in this city.  He and Mrs. Strickland originally lived at Lawrenceville.  They moved to Rome twenty odd years ago and from Rome moved to this city.  Mrs. Strickland was an exceptionally well informed lady and lived a zealous and consistent Christian life.

The remains will be carried to Lawrenceville for burial.
