William (Bill) Joseph Stovall, 77, of Powder Springs, formally of Cartersville, died on Tuesday, March 16, 1999.

A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Mr. Stovall worked in the wholesale food industry in Atlanta. He was also a talented candle maker.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn; a son and daughter-in-law, Dick and Donna Stovall of Powder Springs; son, Tom Stovall of Centreville, Va.; daughter, Nancy Yasson of Powder Springs; and seven grandchildren.

There are no services planned at this time.

Contributions may be made to the Carolyn Stovall Scholarship Fund, Kennesaw State University Foundation, 1000 Chastain Road, Kennesaw, Ga., 30144.

Cremation Society of the South, 770-941-5352, is in charge of the arrangements.
