Death of Col. T. P. Stovall—A prominent citizen of Georgia Passes away at Etowah Heights.

Col. Thomas Pleasant Stovall, one of the most prominent men in the state, died last Saturday morning at Etowah Heights, the home of his sister, Mrs. C. T. Shelman….He was about seventy years of age and was a native of Augusta……Colonel Stovall’s first wife was the daughter of Mr. Mark A. Cooper. She died some eight years ago. Four years ago Colonel Stovall and Miss Genie Orchard were married. He leaves a wife and two sisters, Mrs. Deering, of Augusta, and Mrs. Cecelia Shelman, of Etowah Heights. His brother, General M. A. Stovall, of Augusta died a few weeks ago. His nephew, Pleasant Stovall, resides in Augusta. His remains were taken to Atlanta Sunday, where they were laid to rest in Oakland cemetery.
