Death of Mary Spencer.

Died, in Cartersville, on Saturday March 22d, Mary Spencer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Seaborn Spencer, aged about 15 years. Her illness was brief and her death sudden and unexpected. She was taken on Friday with a chill which was followed by congestion, and in twenty-four hours from the time she was taken, her body was still and pulseless. Mary was a member of the Baptist Sunday school. She was buried in the city cemetery Sunday evening, attended by a large number of the children of the Sunday school. To the bereaved family we extend sympathy.

Tribute of Respect.

The committee of the Baptist Sunday School appointed to draft suitable resolutions of the death of Mary Spencer report as follows: whereas, it has pleased Almighty God in his wisdom to remove from our midst a member of Bro. O. D. Anderson’s class,
Resolved: That in the death of Mary Spencer the Baptist Sunday school loses a regular attendant, and a quiet, devoted pupil.
We earnestly hope that our loss is her eternal gain.
O. D. Anderson, Ch’m’n Com.
