Linwood.

There was a sad death in our community last Thursday.  Mrs. Newton Shaw died in less than a week after she was taken sick. While her death was so sad, leaving as she did several small children to be cared for by tender hands, yet we know she is gone beyond the beautiful river, to sing the sweet song of the angels with her little Emmie, who preceded her several years ago. May God bless the children and help them to be reared in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, and not one stone be left unturned to bring them up on a higher plain, that they emulate the wise and the good.
