Mr. James H. Shaw died Thursday at 3 o’clock at his residence here, with that lingering disease, consumption. Our town mourns the loss of a true Christian and a useful citizen.

On chronicling the death of our worthy citizen, Mr. James H. Shaw, which occurred at his home near here at 3 o’clock a. m. Friday, we cannot but dwell on the sterling characteristics of one who was a pride to his parents and a benefit to his country.
