Thomas Scott died, on Cedar creek, April 30th of consumption. He was a good citizen, beloved and respected by all who knew him. He was buried with Masonic honors on the 1st Day of May. He was also a member in good standing of the Baptist Church at Cedar Creek and had been for a number of years. He bore his sufferings patiently, and told his family and friends that he was ready and willing to go. Peace to his ashes.
