“City Affairs.”

Mrs. M. J. Sayre.

This good lady passed from earth to peace and rest at the home of her son-in-law, Capt. J. J. Calhoun, on Tuesday morning, the 8 th inst. She was in her eighty-fifth year. Mrs. Sayre had been afflicted for some time. She was a noble, good woman who bore a great affection for her family and the same was returned by them. She had many friends among those who knew her. She was the mother of Mrs. J. J. Calhoun, Mr. Nathan Sayre, Mr. R. Stokes Sayre, of Talladega, Ala. and several other children.
