A few weeks since the mortal remains of Mrs. Satterfield, wife of Mr. Wm. Satterfield, of this place, was consigned to the grave, in the town cemetery. Hard by her side, on Thursday last, was laid her infant babe. There mother and child are to await their summons to the skies, on the final day. Distant, about fifty yards, from these, in the last four days, have been consigned to the tomb, another mother and her infant babe—Mrs. Pritchett, wife of Col. J. Walter Pritchett, also of this place. Truly “In the midst of life we are in death.” |
