Rowland, Serena D.

Mrs. Serena D. Rowland died at the home of her son, Mr. W. D. Rowland last Thursday evening at an advanced age. She was the wife of the late Wm. L. Rowland and leaves two children, Mr. W. D. Rowland of this county, and Mrs. Dr. Rudicill, of Chickamauga.

Mrs. Rowland was born in South Carolina and came to Georgia at the age of fourteen. She has since resided in this county. She was a most lovable, Christian woman, a strict member of the Baptist church, and greatly admired by all who knew her. She was sick only a short time.

The funeral services were conducted at the Cross Roads Baptist church, of which she was a member, and the remains were interred in the cemetery at that place.
