DIED at her residence, near Kingston, in this county, on Sunday, the 29th ult, Mrs. J. C. ROPER, daughter of the late Major WOOLEY.  In the death of this lady the community have lost one of its most estimable members, the church a pious and devoted Christian, and her afflicted family all that constituted the dear mother and wife.  Long afflicted, she bore her sickness with pious resignation, and yielded up her life calmly into the hands of Him who doeth all things well.  To the disconsolate and thrice afflicted husband and children, we tender our warmest sympathies, in which, doubtless, the whole community mingle with heart-felt sorrow.
