Vera M. Roberts, 72, of Massell Drive, Cartersville, died Wednesday, January 29, 1992.

She was born May 21, 1919 in Bartow County a daughter of Harv and Alice M. Byers Branton, a homemaker and a member of Gilmer Street Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Roberts.

Surviving are a daughter, Atonia Sue Osborne, Orlando, Florida; sons, Jamie Roberts, Kennesaw; Billy Roberts, Dallas; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, sisters Minnie Lou Baker and Hortense Kelly, both of Cartersville and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 1 at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Owen Funeral Home with the Rev. James T. Paul officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends atthe funeral home Thursday and Friday evenings from 7 until 9.

Owen Funeral Home, 12 Collins Drive, is in charge of the arrangements.
