Mrs. Rich, the wife of Col. W. W. Rich, died at her residence in the country, on last Saturday morning, after a long and painful illness. Mrs. Rich’s life was that of a pure noble Christian, full of gentleness, charity and love. Her decease removes a most estimable and confiding wife, a tender and affectionate mother, a devoted friend, a consistent and useful member of the church.

The funeral services took place at the residence, Sunday at 12 o’clock, and conducted by the Rev. R. B. Headden, of Rome. The remains were laid at rest in Oak Hill Cemetery at 2 ˝ o’clock.
