From Conductor Vandivere we learn of a difficulty which occurred at Lowry’s Mill, in this county, on Monday evening last, between William Lowry and William Price--an employee at the mill—in which the latter was shot and almost instantly killed. Mr. Vandivere says it was told to him that Price was upon Mr. Lowry and beating him severely when the latter drew a pistol and fired the fatal shot which took effect in his bowels. At last accounts Lowry had not been arrested. |
