Mr. Z. Pressley, 66 years old, one of the leading citizens of the Cassville district, died at his home in Cassville last Sunday morning at 3 o’clock. The funeral services were conducted at the Cassville Baptist church last Monday morning, and interment took place immediately afterwards in the Cassville cemetery. Rev. Mr. Sheffield, a life-long friend, conducted the funeral services, which were largely attended. G.M. Jackson & Sons had charge of the funeral arrangements. The pall-bearers were Messrs. W.M. Pressley, J.D. Pressley, A.L. Pressley, L.E. Pressley, H.G. Pressley and E.M. Andrews. Besides his wife, twelve children survive. They are Mr. W.M. Pressley, of Atlanta; Mr. J.D. Pressley, of Cartersville; Mrs. P.L. Bennett, of Jasper; Mr. Eli Pressley of Alabama; Mr. Aleck L. Pressley, of Cartersville; Mrs. G.S. Anderson, of Cass Station; Mr. L.E. Pressley of Birmingham; H.G. Pressley, of Cartersville; Mrs. Moore, of Atlanta, Mrs. Ernest Andrews, of Kingston, and Miss Violet Pressley, of Cassville. Mr. Pressley was for many years a prominent citizen of the county, and in his death a good citizen is sincerely mourned. |
