Funeral Rites Held Tuesday for W.M. Pinson William Marion Pinson, 80, of 1183 Woodward Avenue, died unexpectedly in a Rome hospital at 4:15 p.m. Sunday after a brief illness. Born in Ball Ground, Georgia, June 02, 1870, son of the late John and Nancy Ingram Pinson, he had been a resident of Rome since 1927. He had been employed at Dellinger Spread Company since 1937. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. Surviving are two sons, W.B. Pinson, of Rome, and H.H. Pinson, Atlanta; two brothers, John H. Pinson, Macon, and Isaac Pinson, Stilesboro, four sisters, Mrs. Armanda Eads, Shannon; Mrs. Cora Cook, Cartersville; Mrs. Missouri West and Mrs. Emma Bridges, both of Rome. Three grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Mount Pleasant Baptist Church near Rydal, with the Rev. E.L. Norwood and the Rev. Carl L. Curry officiating. Interment was in the adjoining cemetery. The body remained at the residence until 12 noon Tuesday when the funeral cortege left for the services. Active pallbearers included Howard, Dave, Lewis, Hugh, Winnelle, Virgil, J.T. and Odell Nally. Honorary pallbearers were Jake Ruff, Ed Dowe, Robert Hubbard, Clifford Rogers, William Hammer, Wright Bagby, Clifford Amos, Willie Gay, Clem Jarrett and Marion Mathis.
