Mrs. Eliza Phillips, consort of Robert Phillips, died at her residence two miles southwest of this place last Monday morning. She has been sick only one week. Her funeral was preached Tuesday morning at the residence by Rev. Alf. Buford; and she was buried in Capt. Dobbs’ family burying place. She was a good woman, had but few if any enemies. She left her husband, one son and one daughter and a grand daughter in the old household besides other children, relatives and countless friends to mourn her departure. We tender our condolence to the bereaved ones.
